FTC has some exciting news for members living and conducting business in the Cooperative territory.
What began as a major fiber buildout in 2019 is on the brink of completion. The last of the design phase for the entire Cooperative membership has been finished and is expected to be fully constructed by the end of 2026!
That means that every member will have access to broadband speeds and beyond, up to a symmetrical connection of 1 Gigabit (1,000 Megabits) per second – 1 Gig up and 1 Gig down.
Those connected to fiber enjoy:

- Super-fast downloads and uploads
- The ability to stream OTT (Over-The-TOP) TV service, movies and music on multiple devices at the same time
- Low latency and ping speeds that provide a superior online gaming experience with a competitive advantage

And those on fiber should enjoy less downtime because it is easier to maintain and is more reliable than other communications networks. This major upgrade to fiber essentially future proofs the network.
With fiber multiple users and devices can be connected to the internet simultaneously. Those watching video will enjoy enhanced digital quality. And since the connection is symmetrical, meaning the uploads and downloads are the same, sending files like videos and photos is easy.
