We all know the feeling of finishing a TV show that you truly love. The sadness, the heartbreak…the withdrawals! Yes, it’s all very traumatic, but eventually you need to move on. But what’s next?
What could possibly be better than “Breaking Bad”? How could you ever get over the end of “How I Met Your Mother”? We know it may seem impossible right now, but you will make it through!
Finding the next TV show to gradually follow, or binge watch, on a lazy Sunday can be a lot of work. There are millions of TV shows out there and just as many reviews promising a show “will change your life!”
Lucky for you, we have come up with a list of the top five TV shows worth checking out this winter:
“The Bachelor”
Oh yes, it’s back! The 20th season began Jan. 4 with bachelor Ben Higgins. After being sent home by Kaitlyn Bristowe on “The Bachelorette,” Ben is back with 28 new girls who are looking for love! With lots of drama and surprises, make sure to tune into ABC every Monday at 8 p.m.!
“American Horror Story: Hotel”
Lady Gaga, a haunted hotel and vampires? Okay, we’re hooked! Just like its past four seasons, AHS is full of dark, sexy and scary episodes that will keep you glued to the TV for hours. If that doesn’t entice you, Gaga won a Golden Globe for her lead role as the Countess. The season ended this January, but you can check out all the episodes on FX.
“Billions”
It’s Paul Giamatti vs. Damian Lewis in this Paramount+ with SHOWTIME original, which premiered on Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. Giamatti plays a U.S. attorney who faces off against Lewis, a self-made billionaire. Just a few episodes in, it’s already creating buzz and we’re expecting it to be a hit!
“Fresh Off The Boat”
Imagine being a 12-year-old boy who moves from D.C.’s Chinatown to the suburbs of Orlando. That is exactly what Eddie Huang is going through. In this witty comedy about fitting in and pursuing your dreams, we follow Eddie and his family through the ‘90s as they figure out how to adjust to their new lives. Fans of “Modern Family” and “The Middle” will surely love this series. Make sure to tune in Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC!
“The Walking Dead”
AMC’s hit series “The Walking Dead” returns for the rest of season six on Feb. 14, and if you haven’t caught up yet, we highly recommend you bunker down and get to it! If you’re new to the show, the main character is a sheriff’s deputy who wakes up from a coma to a post-apocalyptic world. If you like zombies, horror and drama, then this is your show!
Of course, there are so many other amazing shows out there, but these shows seem to be on fire. Happy binging! (Just remember to eat and stand up every few hours.)
